Kids Cartoons and Comics
Tuesdays 5:00-6:00 pm beginning Sept 6th
The cost of the class is $160 for eight sessions and all supplies are provided.

Taught by comic book artist Tim Markello, this eight session class, for ages 7-15, will teach students techniques for drawing cartoons, including exaggeration, simplification, and personification. After creating original cartoon characters, students will focus the techniques so their characters can express emotions, act, and react, to create a narrative with pictures. By the end of the class, students will have a firm grasp of what a cartoon is, how they are created, and their relationship with comics and cartoons. The final project will combine all the newly learned drawing and storytelling techniques to create a complete and original comic narrative.

Life Drawing Group
Sundays 2:00 - 5:00 pm, beginning Sept 10th
Cost is $95 for four three-hour sessions

Open figure drawing provides a forum for the maintenance and development of artistic skills at all levels. It also allows for basic drawing practice essential for creative development in all media. Easels and tables are provided; participants should bring their own supplies. The model's pose legnths can be arranged according to the classes preference. Beginners are welcome; the moderator will provide individual instruction if requested. Moderated by Christa Diepenbrock.

Painting in Watercolor
Tuesdays 10:00 am - noon, beginning Sept 6th
Eight two-hour sessions, $160.00. Some supplies provided.

Taught by award winning watercolor artist Molly Goodall, this ongoing class will cover basic and intermediate watercolor techniques, from selecting the best paper for your projects to developing a personalized palette. A variety of styles and techniques will be discussed, including watercolor pouring and photorealism.

Techniques in Colored Pencil
Wednesdays 7:00 - 9:00 pm, beginning Sept 6th
The cost of the class is $160. Most supplies provided

Techniques in Colored Pencil is a two month class covering beginning and intermediate techniques in colored pencils. Designed for adults who would like to focus on this brilliant and challenging medium, the class is taught by Christa Diepenbrock and runs from September 6 through October 25.

Handbuilding in Clay
Mondays 7:00 - 9:00 pm, beginning Sept 11th
Cost of the class is $160 for eight two-hour classes

This class, taught by Diana Rushing, will emphasize the fundamentals of hand building, glazing and firing. The student will explore ceramic methods and materials and learning their possibilities and limitations. Within the semester the student will create examples of pottery displaying the following techniques:
• Pinch pot
• Coiled pot
• Texture tiles
• Slab construction
• Folded Slab structures

Clay tools required for class:
• Kemper Pottery Tool Kit
• Kemper Rubber Finishing Tools: (1)soft and (1) hard
These items may be purchased at class for $18.00
25 lbs. of clay provided for each student

Mommy and Me Classes
Wednesdays 10:00 - 10:45 am
Cost is $15 per participating child

Weekly drop-in class for Kids ages 1 year and up and their accompanying adult. A different project every week:
• September: Kiln-Fired Keepsake Mugs for Grandparents Day and My Own Clay Hand Plaques
• October: Kiln-Fired Friendly Halloween Pumpkins; Keepsdake Ceramic Frames
• November: Textured Thanksgiving Tray, Handmade Kiln-Fired Christmas Ornaments
• December: Christmas Tree Platter, Glaze Your Own Ornaments
Class size limited, so register in advance.

Oil Painting Class
Thursdays 7:00 - 9:00 pm, beginning Sept 7th
The cost is $80 per month and some supplies are provided

A class in oil painting for beginner or intermediate adults. Taught by award winning artist Christa Diepenbrock, students will cover basic and intermediate techniques in oil. Working from life as well as original references, each student will be encouraged to develop their own style at their own pace. The class is ongoing, begin at any time.

Ceramic Nativity Family Workshop
Saturday, December 9 from 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
The cost of the workshop, including all supplies, is $35 per family

In this fun holiday workshop, families will work together glaze their own 12-piece ceramic nativity set and create a rustic stable to house it. The resulting manger scene is sure to become a family keepsake treasured for years to come.
