September 2, 2006
For information contact: Becky McCants, 214-734-7326, womproductions.com

First of all, let me take this opportunity to thank you for your past support in our initial ground breaking first few years. Since mounting our first production of Smoke on the Mountain in July of 2004, we have followed up with All I Really Need to Know I Learned In Kindergarten, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Sanders Family Christmas, and The Saga of the Golden Horseshoe...Or That Was No Lady, That Was My Filly! In February of 2006, Word of Mouth Productions began offering children's drama classes in Frisco and have taught over 50 students in our first series of classes. You helped make it all possible!

Here are the exciting programs and events planned for our 2006 - 2007 season:

Schoolhouse Rock, Live!
The 1970's Saturday morning cartoon cult phenomenon comes live to the stage with all your favorite songs such as "Conjunction, Junction," "Just a Bill" and "Interjection!" This production opens October 6th at the Courtyard Theater in Plano and runs through October 22nd with an extended run October 24 - 29 at the new McKinney Performing Arts Center. With this production, we are proud to offer weekday student matinees at a very discounted rate for school groups to provide a professional, fun and educational field trip opportunity.

Merry Christmas, Smackover
Our fundraiser production in December. Ed, Lurlene, and The Dudds are back with their hilarious small town, talk show antics. If you've never met these folks, you won't want to miss this riotous country version of Regis and Kelly!

Males Order Brides
Running February 16 - 25 at the Cox Building Playhouse in Plano. Just in time for Valentine's Day weekend, it's melodrama mayhem again as unscrupulous lawyer Big Harry Deal has hired Starr Billings to impersonate four fiancés in a mail order bride scheme to lure the bridegrooms into a mine shaft and blow them up, leaving Starr a wealthy widow to all four!

Cheaper by the Dozen
This production rounds out the season running May 11 - 27 at the Cox Building Playhouse. You've seen the movie, now come see this family classic, original stage play based on the book by Frank and Ernestine Gilbreth.

Fall Drama Classes
Beginning October 9th, we're looking forward to starting our fall series of drama classes for children in Kindergarten - 8th grade. As part of our mission, Word of Mouth Productions seeks to provide education in the arts and programs in schools and communities to promote a passion for, and instill a lifelong interest in, the performing arts. Our drama classes not only teach acting and stage skills, but help children build confidence, boost self-esteem, think creatively and learn to focus and develop self-discipline in a safe, family friendly environment.

It would be impossible for me to tell you how vital your support is at this time. This season is a crucial and pivotal time for Word of Mouth Productions and we are looking forward to it with great anticipation. In so doing, we'd like to ask for your help once again, by becoming a Word of Mouth Productions Patrons. All of our patrons will be acknowledged in all of programs and on the website.
