Spring Break Arts & Science Camp : March 17-21 by Diana Moya at the Frisco Arts Center Frisco. The use of recycling materials for community projects will be the emphasis of the camp. Combining the science of recycling with art is a fun, creative, hands-on program that also addresses real-world problem solving. Students gain self-esteem as they learn a lifelong skill and share that knowledge with others in the community. It provides a springboard to creativity, from which the possibilities of topics and projects are boundless. Involving the "whole child" in the arts gradually teaches many types of literacy while developing intuition, sensitivity, reasoning, imagination, and dexterity. Learning in the arts nurtures active engagement, disciplined and sustained attention, persistence, and risk-taking.
For application contact Diana Moya. Also taking Summer Camp application now. Limited space.
