Because no holiday season is complete without it, the Collin County Ballet Theatre cordially invites you to attend this year’s performances of “The Nutcracker”, featuring Kenneth Easter returning for his third season and Melanie Hamrick of New York’s American Ballet Theatre. The cast of over 100 dancers are members of the Collin County Youth Ensemble, students with the CPAC-Hathaway Ballet Academy and Performing Arts Conservatory and other dancers from the County area. Many of the dancers are residents of Plano, Frisco, McKinnney, Allen, Richardson and Dallas. This year, the lead role of Clara will be shared by Jaclyn Sartore of Frisco and Elizabeth Dubret of Allen.

For the fourth consecutive year, CCBT is pleased to partner with the Plano Symphony Orchestra, which will perform live with CCBT’s Sunday, December 3, performance beginning at 5 p.m. at the Eisemann Center for the Performing Arts in Richardson. Two additional performances will be presented the following weekend on Saturday, December 9, at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at Frisco’s Wakeland High School Theatre. For the past five seasons Collin County Ballet Theatre has lead the performing arts community with a strong tradition of presenting professional ballet performances in the City of Frisco.

This year Collin County Ballet Theatre has a new home at the prestigious Shops at Legacy. The company will participate in the annual The Shops at Legacy’s Christmas Tree Lighting with performance excerpts from the Nutcracker set for Sunday, November 19, at both 2 pm and 2:45 pm on the North Legacy Stage.

Tickets range in price from $15 to $75 for the Eisemann performance, and $15 to $30 for the Wakeland High School performances. Children under 12 receive a 10% discount for all performances.

For ticket information for all performances, please call the Plano Symphony Orchestra at 972-473-7262.

Under the direction of Artistic Directors Kirt and Linda Hathaway, the Collin County Ballet Theatre’s mission is to "promote and enhance the art of ballet in the Collin County and Dallas area; to become recognized regionally as a performing company that presents professional dance performances of the highest quality; to be a vital and important entity in the cultural development of the county and surrounding communities; to provide opportunities for the youth to experience the art of dance and understand the benefits the arts bring to their lives; and to educate and enrich the lives of its citizens in the art of ballet."
