Welcome to the Frisco Arts family of champion advocates and volunteers! We invite you to learn more about our Signature Events and Initiatives and explore the opportunities to be even more involved. This Orientation event will familiarize you with our organization, and membership is not required but encouraged. Our diverse membership and volunteer network believes in the power of the arts to unify, inspire, and sustain a great city.

 

Executive Director Tammy Meinershagen will provide an overview of the programs of Frisco Arts and opportunities to be involved as a volunteer. Lunch is at your expense, and dessert is on us.

Ladies Who Launch

Frisco Arts Ladies Who Launch, where Arts and Business collide!

Whether you're an artist, business owner, entrepreneur, or “wantrepreneur”, you're welcome to attend and connect with our boss ladies who launch!

 

Presented by Union Home Mortgage, Ladies Who Launch meets the first Tuesday of the month, with each luncheon lasting just 90 minutes and featuring 2 special speakers in a panel discussion, moderated by Frisco Arts Executive Director Tammy Meinershagen. Guests enjoy a gourmet lunch and light dessert by Crest Infiniti's Executive Chef, as well a creative decor by Joy in the Breakroom. 

Seating is limited to 75 ladies, and tickets must be purchased in advance to secure your spot. Tickets are $25 for Frisco Arts Members; $30 for Future Members. Get your ticket and reserve your spot below! No refunds, but credits will be issued towards the next luncheon.

Nonprofit Law and Arts Workshop

Are you interested in learning more about how to set up a nonprofit? Do you have questions about nonprofit law and how it might pertain to your arts organization? Do you want to know more about proper governance structure and how to avoid legal trouble with your nonprofit? Attorney Charles Wallace from Creedon PLLC will walk us through these topics and more on Saturday, January 18th from 10am-12pm at Frisco School of Music. This workshop is FREE and open to the public. 

  • What is a non-profit corporation, and how is one formed?

  • Non-profit purpose, governance, and Directors' duties

  • Maintaining "Public Charity Status"

  • A touch of tax advice

  • Proper revenue, fundraising, and compensation practices

  • Contracting—avoiding common pitfalls and legal trouble

  • Intellectual property—from creation, to ownership, to licensing

  • Our greatest asset: volunteers!

Red Carpet Concert

Celebrate a special Valentine's Day with world-class music and art on Friday, February 14th at Frisco Hall! (5353 Independence Parkway, Frisco 75035). Hosted by Frisco Arts and Frisco Life, and presented by Darling Homes.

Walk down the red carpet and transport yourself to Paris for a romantic evening featuring an intimate musical concert with Broadway's Phantom of the Opera, David Gaschen. You'll be surrounded by the beautiful art of Lina Rincon.

7-8pm: Enjoy hors d'oeuvres, wine, and art by Lina Rincon

8-9pm: Concert by David Gaschen

9pm-9:30pm: Dessert and after-party with the artists

Tickets include heavy hors d'oeuvres, wine, dessert, the concert, complimentary valet, and a special gift to take home to remember your travels. It will be a night to remember!
